The Non-residential Postdoctoral Thunberg Fellowship Programme

About the Programme
The position as Thunberg Fellow is a new type of fellowship, aimed at encouraging young talented researchers
to pursue qualified research in the thematic areas* stipulated by the Natural Sciences Programme at the Swedish
Collegium for Advanced Study (SCAS).

Resources have been allocated to cover a limited number of Postdoc positions with placement at one of the
participating departments at Uppsala University, in order to further the work on the different research themes
of the programme and serve as a link between SCAS and the departments.

The Thunberg Fellow positions are funded by the SCAS Natural Sciences Programme, which in turn is funded
by the Erling Persson Family Foundation and the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.

The first Thunberg Fellows were admitted to the programme in 2020, for a two-year-term.
Please see here for the Current Non-resident Postdoctoral Thunberg Fellows >>

It is currently not possible to apply for a Thunberg Fellowship. Open positions will be announced on the
Call for Applications page.
